We the Uninsured

Why I will not assume to speak for all the uninsured in America I do believe that President Obama took the proper tone last night in his speech. For why United Health made record profits in the second quarter, I wonder how much more money the company could have made by selling policies that the Working Poor could afford. Because like the president I do not presume to tell the Leaders of Congress what will make a better healthcare system for America; however, it seems to me that if the rest of Americas’ Corporations are to recovery from the last Administration shutting down the economy than continuing to raise the premiums to pay for higher healthcare costs and adding more citizens to the roll of the uninsured only serves to make it impossible for the Health Industry to stay solvent.

For only entitled to My Personal Opinion, I do see how Congress can save a hospitals billion of dollars a year simply by changing the policy of how they see the Working Poor that now must pay for Emergency Room visits just to talk to a doctor  and receive non-life threatening medical treatment. And why the reasons are many, seeing that the rest of the medical field stands to lose millions if more and more people lose the ability to pay United Health and others the premiums they are asking. I wonder if Congress can offer the Hospital Administrations the tools they need to set up a payment plan for all the Working Poor and still keep their doors open.

Because why I laugh at those who call reform a government takeover of healthcare, I wonder how many hospitals and medical facilities could keep their doors open if all government assistance was removed and the health insurance companies had to pay their bills dollar for dollar. For if those pundits were serious about having the private sector control all healthcare spending than where are the policies that lets the consumer pay only for the Healthcare that I want. Instead of forcing me to choice a policy that insists I pay for the medical treatment of the Youth of the 60’s and Silver Spoons of the 70’s and their lack of Self-Medical Knowledge.

Yes, I do believe President Obama and the Democratic lead Congress can offer Healthcare coverage for all Americans at little cost to the Individual, Business Owner, and Taxpayer. For if the goal is to increase the awareness of a healthy lifestyle and the importance of being aware of the medical treatment that is given by Doctors and Medical Staff. I do believe that it begins with educating our children and ends when an individual stops being healthy and needs Medical Coverage. A simply solution, yet could include yearly checkups through local community health departments. For why I realize that $2,000.00 a year don’t sound like much to those earning over $100,000.00 a year, try making the same payment on less than $20,000.00 a year.
