Political Debate
Health Care vs. Health Education
As a citizen who can carry on an intelligent conversation with most doctors I do believe that in whole President Obama has the right idea about reforming the health industry; however, the problem has been is getting the Members of Congress to understand his guidelines. For with the House Bill certainly not being Budget Neutral and none of the Senate Bills having offering any innovations that have stopped the generations of yesterday from meeting the medical needs of a growing population of seniors. I have to wonder if the Democratic and Republican Leadership realizes that the Health Insurance Companies are in serious peril of becoming insolvent. For why we hear all the talk o healthcare and costs, where is the health education that will show the American Public that like AIG and the Financial Institutes the Health Industry needs to be restructured so that future generations do not have to pay for a massive system failure.
Yes, you would think that an industry that accounts for 1/6th of the economy would be solvent especially after the latest global meltdown. But seeing the regulators has allowed the industry to raise their rates three times more than the average wages should send a clear message that the Private Sector is in more serious trouble than Medicare. For why I don’t know the exact numbers or how financially secure the Health Insurance Companies are after this latest economic meltdown, although Common Sense tells me that the fact they are no longer paying their bills dollar for dollar means that they too lost big time as the money they had invested in the market evaporated. And why I doubt if the Members of Congress could get a single accountant or economist to expose how serious the problem of insolvency has become or which companies can survive if nothing is done now to fix the Medical Bubble. I do believe President Obama needs to use his address tonight to open the eyes of the American People and Congress on why Healthcare Reform is needed.
Because why I shouldn’t worry about if everyone loses their health insurance or corporations have to spend more and more of their profits to provide health coverage for their CEO’s and top management. Nevertheless, seeing the opportunities that can come by Congress finding a Budget Neutral Solution to the age old question of making health insurance affordable to every American you would think that the Left and Right could see where President Obamas’ Vision of Commerce and Industry building an electric car that would pay its owner for driving to and from work as well as around town can begin to solve the Healthcare problems of today. For why many things can be done to lower the cost of how Americans receive medical treatment I do believe that both the Democratic and Republican Civil, Political, and Religious Leaders are going to have to come to term with the fact that over the next 5-10 years the Private Insurance Companies are going to need a large infusion of cash and restructuring to remain a viable economic player in the health industry.
