Have the House Republicans Learn Anything
January 29, 2009 by ItheConsumer.
With all the House Republicans voting against Americas’ Recovery and Reinvestment Plan one is lead to believe that their leadership has learned nothing since the election. For just like the Bailout Bill that failed to pass the House days before the election. I do believe that you can say that the Republican Voice of “We the People” was silent as they deferred the Debate to the Senate. And why I may not agree with the Bill in its current form passed by the majority of the House Democrats I am at least glad that Labor understands that they need to have a voice at the conference table after the Bill passes the Senate.
Yes, the House Republicans can try to spin their reasons for conspiring to vote against the stimulus bill that will put over $800 billion into the economy; however, how do they plan on telling their citizens that they will not have a voice if the Senate decides to eliminate the tax cuts for the American Consumer and Small Business Owner. For why Big Business and other Special Interest Groups may be able to sway the votes of the Democratic and Republican Senators into passing a Bill that have no tax cuts and very little social spending for the average American. By voting against the House version on principles that are so weak that even they cannot defend their position I have to wonder if they even care what the average American Conservative thinks or want in an economic stimulus bill.
So, as the Americas’ Recovery and Reinvestment Plan moves forward in its journey to become Law I hope the Republicans in the Senate can do a much better job than their counterpart in the House in helping the average American and thus American Business create the necessary environment needed to make up the $500.00 per month deficit in their monthly budget. For why I may believe that the entire $800 plus Billion should be spent on making America Energy Independent because I believe that the savings to the American Consumer, Small Business Owner, and Taxpayer would provide the President and Congress with the necessary funds to supply the Education, Health, and other Social Programs with the increase they seek in funding. Knowing better than most that Americas’ Statespersons have to consider All of Society in their vote I hope that the Bill coming out of conference will be more on helping My Peers Children building a Sustainable Green Civilized World than sticking to the Good Old Boys Party Line.
